The Barbershop Harmony Society, formerly known as the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA) chartered the Palm Harbor Chapter in 1984. It is a non-profit charitable organization.
Our male, 4-part harmony, the chorus is known locally as the Palm Harbor Crystal-Aires. The chorus sings a blend of old and new songs in the barbershop style for a lighthearted and entertaining experience and has entertained Pinellas County fans ever since its inception.
SONGSTERS AT BRUNCH
Every Friday our members, go to Tiffany’s Restaurant in Palm Harbor for “Brunch and Barbershop”. Come, join us and enjoy good harmony and good food! We’re there from 11:00AM until 12:00 noon.
The Crystal-Aires are all about singing four-part harmony (barbershop style) and enjoying good fellowship. The overriding theme in what we do is “sing well and have fun”. Our chorus performs community service as well as paid performances for all occasions with a unique form of entertainment. If you enjoy singing we invite you to drop by the Pa;m Harbor Centre any Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. Never sung in a group before? We will teach you. After a few visits to our rehearsals many of our guests find that singing in good harmony is addictive and it becomes their passion.
